"A Lucky Penny in My Shoe"
The old-wives tale of putting a penny in the shoe of a woman on her wedding day comes courtesy of an old Victorian rhyme. "Something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue and a silver sixpence in your shoe." These were all superstitions that were requests for good luck for the bride. However, when using a silver sixpence became impossible to do, finding a penny was easier and so people made a substitution. Now the saying has changed to, "and a lucky penny in the shoe." The penny was intended to be worn in the shoe of the bride to ensure that the newly married couple would always have wealth.
I walked down the aisle to "Sunrise, Sunset" from "Fiddler on the Roof"
We were married in Santa Clara Church, Oxnard, California which is beautiful
I love and miss it....
"The Wedding Song, There is Love" was also sung by a good friend.
He has always taken good care of me.
